On a personal level, it really sucks for me that this is all happening right when I need to apply for a car loan with less than stellar credit. I would prefer to be forced to save some cash and buy a cheaper car than have the government give corporate welfare to bail out their friends so that I can get a loan with an outrageous interest rate anyway.

Our country already has extraordinary levels of government dependence, corporate subsidizing, war profiteering, and an inflated government (6 out of 20 people have government jobs) while scapegoating the poor, as if the poor take all of our tax money (these are usually women and children too) and now they want us to hand over 700 billion to their Wall Street friends while the government buys up all the bad mortgages? They're trying to steamroll us into giving up more of our rights, with Section 8 of this bailout plan they don't even want any oversight? What the fuck, who the fuck do these people think they are? Let them suffer with the rest of us for their mistakes. Bail out the farms and automotive industries. Keep food and production up. Fuck off wall street and u.s. gov't.

Thank god our congress has some decent people, maybe.
